Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs Southgate Mrs Gibbon and Ms Colenutt

2. MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting of the 12 November 2007 were signed as a correct record

3. MATTERS ARISING

Councillor Steel reported that the Flexi Bus system going to and from Great Ellingham to Attleborough was working satisfactorily
All other items are covered by agenda items

AUDIT
The Clerk reported that he had received the Audit back from the Audit Commission and there were no adverse comments. A request had been made that with the next audit evidence should be submitted to show that the Clerk was reporting his wages to the Inland Revenue. He stated that this was already being submitted with the rest of the papers to the Internal Auditor but that he would comply. He further added that the necessary completion of audit notices had been displayed.

5. PLANNING

Planning permission had been received for

Mr Batch - Rocklands - Holly Cottage, Chapel Street - 3PL/2007/1628/CU - Change of use of garden room to office
The council had no objections
This application has been approved

Miss Allen - Rocklands - 17 The Street - 3PL/2007/1804/F (resubmission) - Erection of new dwelling and garage
The Council had no objections
This application has been refused

Payne & Billington- Rocklands - Walnut Tree Farm,Flymoor Lane - 3PL/2007/200/ - Rear domestic extension to provide kitchen, Bathroom and bedrooms
The Council had no objections

Planning permission had been refused for
Mr Overton - Rocklands - Forestgate, Attleborough Road - 3PL/2007/1624 - Construction of 2 bungalows

6. FLOODING

Councillor Smith reported that he had been in contact with County Highway via Councillor Jordan and had spoken with Jason Glasspole and had arranged further talks after the Christmas period. Mr Glasspole had also contacted Sue Hammond of Breckland Council to arrange a site meeting to discuss the problem. David Witt of the Flooding sub committee had produced information on a flood water storage system to slow the flow of water into the drainage system, but Councilor Smith thought that this might prove expensive. but councilor Smith thought that this might prove expensive. Councillor Gibbon had been able to get some grips dug in the verges of Low Lane to assist with surface flooding there.

7. HIGHWAYS

The Clerk reported that he had notified Highways of three serious potholes in Mill Lane, Church Hill Road and Stowley Lane
.

There was nothing on this item

9. CORRESPONDENCE

The Clerk drew the attention of Councillors to time sensitive items and the rest of the correspondence was circulated
